A lot of women in their thirties start getting grey roots here and there. However, when they reach the age of 50, more than half of their scalp turns grey. Even though there’s nothing wrong with aging, we found a hair colorist who makes clients embrace their grey hair.
Therefore we at Anomalous decided to share the story of the celebrity hair colorist Jack Martin. Martin has been working to prove to people that grey hair never goes out of style. Moreover, he has developed a technique that allows his clients to ditch the dye eventually. Here are some before and after pictures of martin’s clients.

Martin starts the process by removing any artificial hair using a color extractor. He then bleaches the remaining hair while preserving the grey roots to prepare it for the new transformation. Once it’s done, here comes the crucial part. Martin makes the new color, the base of the hair’s natural grey pattern. He then recreates the pattern on the entire hairdo.
To conduct this process, the clients have to come to him with about three to four inches of their grey roots grown out.

Martin says “Some clients have salt and pepper mostly in the front and the back is darker, so I match that and add some darkness to it,” After about 10 hours of work, these mid-aged ladies leave the salon enjoying their new natural hairstyle.
Martin has even worked with several famous clients like Sharon Osbourne and Jane Fonda. His social media popularity has made a lot of women around the world go grey naturally.

“Now, many women have about four to five inches of a new regrowth so they’ve started to see how beautiful their grey is naturally,” says Martin. “Being quarantined at home for three to four months, seeing how much grey hair they have and how beautiful their grey hair is, many women have changed their minds and decided that they want to go this way.”
