Today, Anomalous club brought you a collection of the best Netflix originals to binge-watch this weekend. One thing common in all the following lists is that they are all largely incredible. The TV series and a brief description of them are listed below. We really believe that you will enjoy them.
If you want to go the full monty, we highly recommend using high-speed internet to avoid bad quality or too much buffering. We hope that you will enjoy these shows.
One of us is lying
One of us is Lying is a TV show which is based on Karen M. McManus best selling novel of the same name. The mystery begins when five students walk into detention and only four walk out alive, leaving one of them dead. All the students had the opportunity and individual motives to murder their classmate, however, they all claim to be innocent as the case revolves around which one of them is lying.
Midnight Mass
The show is about a young man who returns to his isolated hometown on Crockett island. He is hoping to rebuild his life after serving four years in prison for killing someone in a drunk-driving incident. He arrives at the same time as a mysterious priest who begins to revitalise the town’s flagging faith. However, the community’s divisions are soon exacerbated by the priest’s deeds while a set of mysterious events befalls the small town
Crash Landing on you
The movie is about a top-secret love story of a chaebol heiress who made an emergency landing in North Korea because of a paragliding accident and a North Korean special officer who falls in love with her and who is hiding and protecting her.
During the COVID closure, a ton of Netflix fans found this K-show since a few of us truly need to track with not only one of the best heartfelt K-dramas out there.
You
Would you do anything for love? The movie is about a brilliant male bookstore manager who crosses paths with an aspiring female writer, the question is put to the test. Starting from a crush, eventually, the writer becomes the manager’s obsession. He uses every tool at his disposal to become close to her, even going so far as to remove any obstacle including people or anything which stands in his way of getting to her.
Broadchurch
The movie starts with discovering the body of a boy named Danny Latimer on the beach in Broadchurch which is a small coastal town. His parents didn’t realise he was missing for hours, because they assumed he’d been out doing his paper route first thing in the morning before school. It turns out that the boy was killed the night before.
Two detectives work together to put the pieces of the puzzle together. However, they find that few people are entirely honest about their whereabouts on the night Danny was murdered.
Money Heist
The original film of the Netflix series is titled La Casa de Papel. The show is about a professor, a criminal mastermind who brings eight thieves together to take hostages and lock themselves in the Royal Mint of Spain as he manipulates the police to carry out his plan. In part 2 of the movie, the lack of communication with the Mint team leads to mutiny and the arrest of one of the thieves.
In part 3, the Professor and his team reunite to free Rio, this time they target the Bank of Spain with a daring and dangerous new plan. In part 4, the Professor’s plan begins to unravel and the thieves must fend off enemies from both the inside and outside the Bank of Spain.
Lucifer
The TV series is about Lucifer Morningstar who has decided he’s had enough of being the dutiful servant in Hell and decides to spend some time on Earth to better understand humanity. Lucifer is set in Los Angeles which is the city of the Angels.
While spending his time in Los Angeles, he helps humanity with his experience and telepathic abilities to bring people’s deepest desires and thoughts out of them.
