Kristen Flagg is my name, and I’m a beginner photographer.

I went outside to find enjoyment because of my solitary life and the fact that I was feeling very lonesome and unhappy. Unfortunately, the lockdown prevented me from traveling very far, so I made my own tiny area at home. While my husband constructed six miniature picnic tables for the squirrels, I started capturing pictures of all of our various guests. I actually started looking forward to waking up and seeing our visitors when I went outside. I constantly add new items for the squirrels and chipmunks to discover. My tiny guests are all addressed by name, which is incredibly entertaining. 

Additionally, I just launched the Rosie’s Café Facebook page. I reasoned that if these occasions make me smile, perhaps they will do the same for others. Especially in these trying times, Rosie’s is all about sharing smiles and goodwill.

In Norwich, Connecticut, I run a café. Because my hometown is known as Rose City, I gave the café the name Rosie’s.
